The takeover bids Directive was one of the most important and most discussed projects in Europe in recent years. The Commission Member States and the Parliament struggled for 15 years before they agreed on a text on 27 November 2003. The arrangements as well as the additional ones wich the takeover bids Directive contains made it an interesting project to publish a book wich describes how Member States implemented the Directive and wich options they have chosen.
