En el presente trabajo, los autores reflejan la incidencia que va a tener la aplicación del Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior a la asignatura de Derecho Financiero y Tributario impartida en los estudios de Derecho. Todo ello desde una perspectiva práctica y propia, en tanto se refleja la experiencia como docentes en la aplicación de la nueva metodología de aprendizaje a instalar en las universidades españolas. Se propugna para ello una nueva configuración de los planes docentes y una mayor coordinación entre las asignaturas y los profesores con el objetivo último de ofrecer una visión integral del Derecho como uno de los mayores retos que nos presenta el EEES. En definitiva, romper el aislamiento de las Áreas de conocimiento para ofrecer una enseñanza común y coordinada. Sin embargo, los autores consideran que también sería preciso plantearse si nuestra Universidad está en condiciones de contar con una estructura de grupos y profesorado acorde con tales fines y objetivos.

In this article, the authors reflect the impact that the application of the European Higher Education Area will have for the study of Financial and Tax Law given in Law degrees. All this from a practical and personal perspective and taking advantage of their experience in applying the new learning methodology that will be the standard in the Spanish university. It is necessary to design a new structure of the Teaching plans and achieve a better coordination between the professors and the subjects themselves with the aim to present the students with a full and comprehensive view of the Law studies. This is the main challenge that the EHEA presents for the Spanish universities. In short, break the isolation and singular view in which each of the Knowledge areas are installed nowadays and being able to offer a common and coordinated view of the Law studies. Prior to that, the authors consider that it is also necessary to question ourselves if our University is prepared to adapt to this new structure of groups and professors that will be required of it to fulfil the objectives and aims of the EHEA.
