Nesse sentido é efectuada uma interessante análise histórica que permite redesenhar o percurso que levou a que uma profissão, tradicionalmente encarada como individual e generalista, urgisse e se impusesse como uma congregação de esforços especializados sob a forma de sociedade. É ainda feita uma reflexão sobre aspectos a ter em conta nas sociedades de advogados de forma a que a advocacia mantenha a essência da sua pureza original: buscar o direito justo.

To think the law, to think the lawyer’s practise, in our time In this article the author makes a reflection on the role, the importance and the place of the practice of law in modern times. In this regard, an interesting historical review is made, allowing for the reconstruction of the path where a profession traditionally viewed as an individualist and generalist one eventually ended up imposing itself as a congregation of specialized efforts in the form of a partnership. Moreover, a reflection is made on which aspects should be considered in law firms for the practice of law to maintain its original essence: the quest for the fair law.
