El proceso penal de forma general tiene por objetivo demostrar la ocurrencia de un hecho delictivo lo cual funciona como el eje de la tierra, en torno al mismo giran los demás aspectos procesales. Es por ello que la cadena de custodia de los elementos probatorios en Cuba es un tema trascendental para determinar el valor probatorio de estos, con la garantía de un debido proceso penal.
