Los estudios de la OIT han afirmado que no es fácil ser joven en el mercado de trabajo actual, dado que el debilitamiento de la recuperación mundial en 2012 y 2013 ha agravado la crisis del empleo juvenil, especialmente en España donde la cifra de desempleo juvenil es alarmante. La Estrategia de Emprendimiento y Empleo Joven ha introducido una serie de medidas dirigidas a estimular la contratación; a modificar el régimen de contratación;  facilitar la movilidad y el emprendimiento; promocionar las prácticas laborales y el aprendizaje en la transición hacia la inserción laboral. En nuestro estudio nos mostramos partidarios de que la mejor opción para el empleo juvenil es la formación dual y un sistema educativo de calidad que facilite la transición de la escuela al trabajo.

ILO studies claim that being young in the current job market is not easy, since the weak global recovery in 2012 and 2013 has deepened the crisis of youth employment, especially in Spain where youth unemployment rate is alarming. The “Strategy for Youth Entrepreneurship and Employment” has launched a series of measures aimed to promote hiring, to amend the recruitment regime among the young, to facilitate mobility and entrepreneurship, and to enhance labour practices and job training in the transition to employment. In our opinion, the best option to achieve youth employment and to facilitate the transition from school to work is dual training and a good education system.
