Este artículo examina las implicaciones filosóficas que afectan a la cosmovisión de los pueblos indígenas de los Andes centrales del Ecuador y su influencia en la desnutrición infantil. A través de un enfoque crítico e intercultural que integra datos empíricos, teoría filosófica ancestral y legislación nacional e internacional, se analiza la relación entre los modelos nutricionales impuestos y los principios del sumak kawsay, la reciprocidad, la relación con la tierra y el tiempo cíclico. Se concluye que el sistema de salud público y sus falencias deben incluir sistemas interculturales eficaces, con el fin de proponer una visión más holística, humanista y culturalmente adaptada y aceptada.

This article examines the philosophical implications that affect the worldview of the indigenous peoples of the central Andes of Ecuador and their influence on child malnutrition. Through a critical and intercultural approach that integrates empirical data, ancestral philosophical theory, and national and international legislation, the relationship between imposed nutritional models and the principles of sumak kawsay, reciprocity, the relationship with the land, and cyclical time is analyzed. It concludes that the public health system and its shortcomings must include effective intercultural systems to propose a more holistic, humanistic, and culturally adapted and accepted vision.
