Este breve estudio se centra en la censura de la Inquisición española al título De  divortiis del jurista bretón del siglo XVI, François Le Douaren, que aparece por primera vez en  el Índice de 1747. Para comprender los posibles motivos de una censura tan tardía se analiza el  contexto de circulación de la obra, las difi cultades del humanismo dentro del territorio peninsular  y la censura de la Inquisición a la literatura jurídica, para fi nalmente ahondar en las cuestiones  que encierra el fragmento expurgado. 

This brief study focuses on the censorship of the title De divortiis by the Breton jurist  of the 16th century, François Le Douaren. This fragment did not catch the attention of the Spanish  Inquisition until the Index of 1747. In order to understand the possible reasons behind such late  censorship I will analyse the circulation of his work, the diffi culties Humanism faced within the  peninsular territory and the censorship of the Spanish Inquisition to legal literature, only to fi nally  delve into the purged fragment
